1) Could you describe your company as well as the products/solutions that you will be presenting during TRUSTECH 2022?
Scytáles is the leading developer of ISO-Mobile Driving Licenses and Mobile IDs as a complement to Security Printed Documents and Validation mechanisms. With our fully ISO-compliant technology, we are the global leaders of the new generation of personal credentials using a cell phone while authorizing what data will be shared. We enable going mobile and validating in real-time in online and offline modes, by standardization and using NFC, Bluetooth, QR Codes, Wifi Aware, PDF417 and other technologies as defined in ICAO 9303 and ISO 18013-5. Scytáles AB represents Sweden as an expert through the Standardization Body (SIS) SIS/TK 448 and Task Force 14 on mDL within ISO/IEC 18013-5 ISO/IEC JTC1/SC17/WG10.
We will demo the Scytáles ISO 18013-5 Mobile Driving License that we are currently running in production with our partner for the state of Utah; the Scytáles on-boarding products, the ICAO 9303compliantmID (Mobile Digital ID) and Derived Mobile IDs (NFC eIDAS/PIV Smart Card IDs going mobile), both accessing Web Services/Portals on Highest Level of Assurance. We will also present our validation mechanisms for relying partners both in near field (attended) and over the screen (unattended) for retail, banking, transport/logistics and government.
Common with all Scytáles' technologies are the capabilities to “read-consume-validate” the holder´s photo, in real-time in online and offline modes, with global interoperability. Scytáles and its team are paving the way, utilizing the most advanced, and newly standardized technology going mobile.
2) In your opinion, what are the current trends that are providing opportunities for your company?
Current trends are the global standardization of Mobile Driver’s License (mDL) and Mobile IDs (mID) that clears the way for global ID and Driver’s License Issuers to confidently deploy mDL solutions, and for Validators around the world to implement or adopt mDL readers. Mobile Driver’s License (mDL) and Mobile IDs (mID) work for better privacy protection, up to date driver capabilities (and thus room for tailored solutions), easier travelling (worldwide standard), and room for innovative ideas in digital services where driving licences are used. Businesses, Federal and State Agencies and other public entities can verify government-issued ID documents to quickly approve transactions every day. mDL gives the holder control of their ID data on their mobile device while allowing acceptance via a tap or scan.
3) Why did you choose to participate at TRUSTECH 2022? Will you be presenting innovative/new products or solutions during TRUSTECH 2022?
TRUSTEC is one of the most important meeting points for providers and customers in the sphere of identification solutions. It is where industry players, technology providers, experts, agencies and authorities gather to stay up-to-date, form partnerships and conduct business. We will be presenting our world-leading Mobile Driver’s License and Mobile ID solutions.
4) How is TRUSTECH 2022 important for growing your business?
This is one of the few opportunities where one can effectively meet with new customers and partners from all around the Globe during a few intense days making contacts that otherwise would have taken considerable much more effort, time and expenditure.
5) Where do you intend to grow your business in the future (countries or verticals)?
We intend to grow our business in the US and Europe primarily but also Asia and South America. The verticals that we focus on are Issuing Authorities (Road Administrations), Transportation / Logistics, Health and Bank/Financial sector.
