1) Could you describe your company as well as the products and solutions you will be presenting at TRUSTECH 2023?
Lohmann is a family-owned high-tech bonding solutions manufacturer with more than 170 years of company history. We are developing, advancing and innovating adhesive tapes and functional bonding solutions for various industries and are an established partner for smart bonding solutions in the (smart) cards and passports industries.
At TRUSTECH 2023, we are proud to introduce two groundbreaking products, DuploTEC® 12410 SBF and DuploTEC® 12420 SBF EC (as ACF – anisotropic conductive film – variant). These innovative adhesive tape solutions are set to revolutionize eco-friendly smartcard manufacturing, combining environmental responsibility with exceptional performance.
2) What current trends do you think provide opportunities for your company?
The use of recycled or biobased card materials is increasing rapidly. Despite the undoubted advantages, bonding on these new materials, however, remains a challenge. We are up for it: Our products are specifically designed for use on recycled materials. We know how important it is to protect the environment and thus constantly work on reducing our environmental footprint and enable our customers to do the same while creating high-quality smart cards.
3) Why did you choose to participate in TRUSTECH 2023? How does TRUSTECH 2023 help grow your business?
In the past years, we took part in TRUSTECH as visitors and had a great experience. We value the exhibition a platform for networking with global players from the industry as well as a place where important impulses, trends and innovations from the market are shared.
As it is our first time as exhibitor, we have no proven data about the success but we expect to grow our level of brand awareness and generate new and valuable leads. Another focus for us is of course to deepen our industry network.
4) Will you be presenting innovative or new products or solutions there?
Yes, indeed: We will be presenting two new products of our DuploTEC® SBF range: DuploTEC® 12410 SBF and DuploTEC® 12420 SBF EC (as ACF – anisotropic conductive film – variant). These innovative adhesive tape solutions are set to revolutionize eco-friendly smartcard manufacturing, combining environmental responsibility with exceptional performance.
DuploTEC® 12410 SBF is a tape developed for secure chip attachment to eco-friendly card materials, such as PLA, reclaimed plastics, and recycled PVC. It offers unmatched bonding performance, ensuring the longevity of smartcards. DuploTEC® 12420 SBF EC (ACF version) is tailored for robust bonding and electrical connectivity.
By introducing these products, we want to empower manufacturers to create smartcards that are not only eco-friendly but also offer high performance. The product portfolio underlines our commitment to innovation, sustainability and excellence, ultimately shaping the future of smartcard production.
5) Where do you intend to grow your business in the future (countries or verticals)?
We are planning on growing our business not only in the area of smartcards but also expand our market in the areas of IDs and passports.
